NOTE: This testing is specially indicated when any one criterion is fulfilled
1) Renal Stone in a patient age less than 30 years
2)Renal stones present in both kidneys
3)Renal stone recurs within 1 year of treatment
4)Family history of renal stones
5)Person has Only 1 kidney.
6)Renal stones keep occurring again and again.
Note: These investigations will help find cause of renal stone in majority of cases however in some cases the cause cannot be found. A 24 hour urinary study (to be done separately) may also be required in some cases. In a minority of cases the cause of frequent renal stones cannot be found.
1) Urine Routine And Microscopic (Including Ph, Crystals, Pus Cells And Blood)
2) Urine Culture & Sensitivity.
3) Serum Uric Acid
4) Serum Total Calcium
5) Serum Ionised Calcium
6) Serum Phosphorous
7) Serum Electrolytes (Na + ,K + Cl – )
8) Vit. D3 Levels
09) Blood Urea Nitrogen
10) Serum Creatinine
